ON THE SUNNY, FRESH SATURDAY MORNING of 7th October 2017, S-Factor Academy held its first intra-club Competition Day at Ladywell Arena. Over 70 junior, disabled and senior athletes participated in a variety of sprint, middle distance and field events in a fun-packed day culminating in an explosive all-star relay race involving athletes, parents and coaches!
S-Factor Academy is lending its support to one of our longstanding young athletes, Khuwayne Linton in his campaign to be this year’s Young Mayor.
Khuwayne, who did very well in his GCSE’s this year (congratulations :-)) joined us in early 2014 and has been a motivated athlete with consistent attendance and an enthusiastic competitor for the club ever since – often attending external competitions on behalf of the club where no other athletes are participating.
S-Factor sends a huge congratulations to Alan Taylor, one of our star long distance runners, for attaining excellent A-Level results of A* and two As in Maths, History and Philosophy respectively! Alan has been a regular S-Factor participant at Kent Cross Country League and other competitions for the past few years. He’s a dedicated and consistent “squad member”
Our DISABILITY SUMMER BOOT CAMP came to a celebratory close last Thursday, 31st August with a PARALYMPIC COMPETITION DAY where our young stars were able to put their new skills into action.

Our dedicated QuadKids and Seniors put in a great effort at the final LICC meeting on Saturday, 26th August with some outstanding performances. This has been S-Factor’s BEST performance in a very long time – WELL DONE TO ALL!
Special mention goes to the following:
ZENA-MARIE GLANVILLE (U13) who has set a NEW CLUB RECORD in the 100m with 13.29s
KYRA JACKSON-BRETT (U13) who also beat the previous club record in the 100m (with 14.07s) as well as setting a NEW CLUB RECORD in the 200m of 30.13s

We would like to say a VERY BIG THANK YOU to Ricky Simms at PACE SPORTS MANAGEMENT for treating the S-Factor Academy team to an amazing time at day three of the IAAF World Championships on 6th August! Seeing inspiring greats like Allyson Felix in action reminded our young athletes of what can be achieved with talent and hard work.
