WELL DONE TO ALL THOSE who competed in the first meeting of London Inter-Club Challenge on the 24th June! Good performances all round – and a special shout out to MO ELMI who placed BRONZE in his FIRST EVER LICC 800m race (U15) – and to SAM LONG who BROKE A CLUB RECORD in the U13 boys 800m with a PB of 2m38secs.

Time to put all your hard training throughout the year to the test. S-Factor Academy will be attending this year’s London Inter Club Challenge on Saturday 24th June, Saturday 29th July and Saturday 26th August. We strongly encourage all athletes to participate (including our juniors, who can participate in QuadKids earlier on those days).
HE DID IT!!!!
Coach Mensah competed at the World Masters Athletics Championships Indoor in Daegu, South Korea and blew away the competition, not only winning TWO GOLD medals (60m hurdles and 4x 200m) and a BRONZE medal in the 60m sprint, but also achieving his personal best AND setting another British Record! This is truly outstanding!!!

S-Factor Academy is appealing for your support for our senior coach Mensah Elliot, an international Masters Athlete who is currently ranked No.1 in the World for the 60mH and 110mH, in the M35 and M40 categories respectively.
In between volunteering his time coaching and mentoring our young athletes, Mensah is training towards his own goal of becoming the World Champion in Masters Athletics.

LONDON (14th October 2016) – One of Team GB’s most famous faces, Christine Ohuruogu, is to visit Lewisham community amateur sports club, S-Factor Academy, on the Saturday,
One of South East London and Kent’s favourite community amateur sports clubs, S-Factor Academy, unveils its new website as part of its rebrand to celebrate its six years.
Its website, which features online membership application forms, information to gain employment and work experience, and an e-commerce store amongst other things, says it is more than just an “athletics club”.
LONDON (19/08/2016) – Physical activity does indeed boost academic performance as seen by S-Factor Academy’s Abimbola Ojemakinde and Kimani Smart’s recent A-Level results.
Both athletes achieved top marks in their grades and are off to their higher education place of choice, Loughborough and Brunel University respectively, after this summer.
“I am pleased to have been accepted to study History and International Relations in Loughborough University,” Miss Ojemakinde said upon receiving her results.
30th June 2016 – The Sporteducate Programme, a partnership between leading sports charity Sported, Deutsche Bank and 33 sports clubs in London, of which S-Factor Academy is one, has won three awards at the Corporate Engagement Awards and National CSR Awards recently.
The awards won were:
- Gold for the “Best Sports and Leisure Programme” in the “type” category of the Corporate Engagement Awards
- Bronze for the “Best Community Involvement During a CSR Programme” in the “corporate social responsibility” category of the Corporate Engagement Awards
- Highly Commended for the “Best Partnership in the Community” in the corporate social responsibility category of the National CSR Awards
