Our DISABILITY SUMMER BOOT CAMP came to a celebratory close last Thursday, 31st August with a PARALYMPIC COMPETITION DAY where our young stars were able to put their new skills into action.

We were joined by top GB shot put Paralympic Athletes Vanessa Wallace and Sam Ruddock, representatives from Lewisham Council, England Athletics, Team Personal Best and Access Sport’s cheeky mascot lion.

Despite the brief damp spell, the day was a great success and our athletes had tons of fun. Everyone was awarded a medal for participating in the day’s events.
Special thanks to Lewisham Council, Hannah Tappenden and Fusion Lifestyle.

Also a very special thanks to S-Factor’s own Inclusive Team for making this all happen. Disability Summer Boot Camp was a huge success and we hope this is the first of many to come!

Our Disability sessions run every Saturday 11am-midday during School Term (for Lewisham). This summer our Disability Athletics Summer Camp attracted 75 unique participants who we are hoping will transition to our Saturday sessions. We are also proud to be an England Athletics Mental Health Ambassador Club with outreach connection in local schools such as Brent Knoll, Drumbeat, Downham & Brockley 6th form, LeSoCo, SELVis, Kaleidoscope.
